Beyond 2015 UK Parliamentary event

The World We Want for Beyond 2015 Parliamentary event

When: Wednesday 25 April 2012, 3.00-4.30pm

Where: Committee Room 19, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA

Organiser: Beyond 2015 UK

With Rio+20 coming up and UN processes on post-2015 emerging, conversations about what will succeed the MDGs are intensifying internationally and in the UK. The recent reports that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will appoint David Cameron as a co-chair of the UN High Level! Panel on post-2015 will increase UK Government engagement around this agenda.

In light of these developments, we invite participants of Beyond 2015 UK to discuss with Ivan Lewis MP, Malcolm Bruce MP and a further government representative the challenges around this agenda, and reflect on the role of civil society and the UK Government. The meeting will be chaired by Joanne Green, Head of Policy with CAFOD.

This event for Bond member and other NGOs active on the post-2015 development agenda is a timely opportunity to deepen understanding about the critical issues surrounding the current post-MDG process, and to help foster key parliamentary support for a future development framework that drives actual change for people living in poverty.

RSVP: Registration is required. Places are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first served basis.  Please confirm your attendance with Mariana Rudge at: advocacy@bond.org.uk
