UNSG Task Force (second letter)

This task force has concluded its work and has been disbanded


This second UNSG Task force was set up in September 2011 and was charged with drafting a letter to share with the UN Secretary General a number of recommendations and action points that would maximise the chances of a UN-led post-2015 agreement meeting the Beyond 2015 "essential must-haves".  

The letter was sent along with the paper “Towards a successor framework to the Millennium Development Goals: Next steps for the United Nations” (which you can read here).  


Representatives from the following organisations took part in this taskforce.

  • ATD Fourth World (France)
  • Campaign 2015+ (Nigeria)
  • CESR (Spain)
  • Tearfund (United Kingdom)
  • CAFOD (United Kingdom)
  • GCAP (Zambia)  
  • CCJPZ (Zimbabwe)

Their draft was circulated to the group of participating organisations of the campaign for comments and sign off.


The letter was signed off by directors of 64 organisations (36 Southern and 28 Northern) from 33 countries (21 Southern and 12 Northern). Click here for more details.
