Through its humanitarian aid and relief initiatives, Olymp Trade is able to touch lives—especially the ones who need support the most.

Keep reading this article to find out more about Olymp Trade’s charity work!

Well, here’s a lowdown on the various resources accessible to traders on the Olymp Trade platform that can be game-changers.

Beyond the Business of Trading

Beyond the Business of Trading

Olymp Trade may be a business, but it has goals beyond earning a profit and being internationally recognized.

The company believes that everyone—no matter his or her socioeconomic class—deserves a decent quality of life and a chance at upward social mobility.

Besides providing users with trading strategies, tutorials, and tips, Olymp Trade also fosters a supportive trading environment to help traders (especially beginners) feel more comfortable and confident dipping their toes in financial markets.

By making trading easier and more accessible, Olymp Trade is able to create financial opportunities for millions of people worldwide.

That’s not all, though! Did you know that social responsibility is also one of Olymp Trade’s main thrusts outside of the business?

Through its numerous social initiatives, Olymp Trade is also able to positively impact people from different countries—Indonesia, India, and Vietnam included—and extend help when needed.

Now, what kind of charity work does the company actually do?

The Olymp Trade Promise

Olymp Trade Promises

Olymp Trade promises two things:

  1. 1
It will provide support to areas seriously affected by natural disasters, such as floods, typhoons, and droughts. Emergency packages will be distributed to people who no longer have access to food, shelter, and other basic needs.
  2. 2
It will invest in social health, education, and awareness programs run by accredited humanitarian organizations. This is in line with its long-term goal of improving the marginalized sector’s quality of life.

Humanitarian Aid and Relief Efforts

Recently, Olymp Trade has been focusing a lot on two key issues: The COVID-19 pandemic, and recurring natural disasters such as floods and typhoons.

The company worked with organizations across different countries, such as Indonesia, India, Egypt, and Vietnam, to deliver aid as quickly as possible to citizens suffering from these two problems.

COVID-19 Pandemic

The whole world was—and still continues to be—affected by COVID-19, but Indonesia, India, and Egypt were three of the countries that were hit hardest by this unprecedented pandemic.

In response to this, Olymp Trade partnered with Rumah Zakat Foundation (one of the largest charity foundations in Indonesia), the Smile Foundation (a major charity organization in India), and the Egyptian Red Crescent (a popular NGO in Egypt) to deliver aid to their citizens.

The results?

The event in Indonesia helped send food supplies and emergency packages to many families across 8 different areas:

  • Jakarta
  • Surabaya
  • Solo
  • Tangerang
  • Bandung
  • Bogor
  • Bekasi
  • Depok

These were called the ‘Family Lebaran Gift Packages’.

Meanwhile, aid kits with hygiene products and enough food to feed a family of five for a month were distributed to many underprivileged families in Chennai, one of the largest cities in India.

This was done in partnership with Smile Foundation, who reaches out to over 1.5 million Indians with their campaigns.

Coincidentally, this charity event took place right when the Ganesh Chaturthi festival—an event that symbolizes generosity and new beginnings—occurred.

In Egypt, Olymp Trade administered flu shots and sent over 700 relief packages to citizens from Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria; they conducted seminars to educate Egyptians on hygiene and social distancing habits, and they even sanitized public areas and facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

What’s interesting is that Egyptians were even taught the importance of looking after both their physical and mental health—something that most people may have neglected because of the pandemic.

Natural Disasters

Olymp trade help in Indonesia during national disaster

Besides dealing with the debilitating effects of COVID-19, countries like Indonesia and Vietnam also endured several natural disasters. Unfortunately, this meant the marginalized sector was hit twice as hard too.

For example, in 2020, multiple hurricanes struck Vietnam, causing severe floods and landslides. Low-income families suddenly had to deal with the loss of their homes and crops, which were usually their only sources of food and income.

To address this problem, Olymp Trade held charity events and distributed emergency relief packages to families in Hai Lang. These even included school supplies for children who were having trouble continuing their education during these hard times.

Then, a few months after this, in early 2021, Indonesia also suffered from extreme rains and floods. In one particular area, over 3,500 houses and 11,500 residents were affected by the natural disasters, and many had to relocate to a refugee camp in Handil Babirik.

To help these families out, Olymp Trade prepared aid kits with DT Peduli, a non-profit organization in Indonesia.

Everyone received essentials like food and water, hygiene products, and blankets, but those with babies/kids were also given baby formula, diapers, and school supplies.

Conclusion

Clearly, Olymp Trade isn’t just an online trading platform.

Although it certainly focuses on improving its financial services, expanding its presence, and creating more business opportunities, it continues to see its users as people, not numbers.

Besides making trading accessible to anyone, Olymp Trade also prioritizes its social responsibility campaigns by personally reaching out to the underprivileged sectors across different countries worldwide.

With this, they hope to be known not just as a successful business but also as a powerful agent of social change.
